The sun beneath the trees above made the leaves look like stars in a green sky. A black tom stalked a brown, plump mouse. He flattened his ears and crouched low, without brushing his back against grass. Suddenly, at a wrong timing, a twig snapped. The rodent quickly dashed toward its hole. The tom sat up in frustration, his kill was gone.
'What was that?' the tom crept and leaped at the sound. He pinned down a pale gray she-cat. "Who are you?" he snapped.
" I could ask you the same thing, mouse brain." she pushed him off with her hind legs.
